French-Spanish Crisis
The differences between the Chairman of the French construction company, Eiffage, Jean François Roverato, and the Chairman of the Spanish company Sacyr, Luis del Rivero, which owned 33% of the shares of the former, were the source of a turbulent media battle both in France and in Spain. MCS was responsible for the communication strategy for Eiffage for more than two years. Finally the law ruled in favour of the French company and Sacyr had to sell its shares. |

More than 15 years serving new technologies
Optical fibre was introduced into Spain by the American company US West and CTC which launched a pilot study in the city of Barcelona. MCS publicised this innovative project and continued its work by providing a press office and an institutional relations service in the field of new technologies when the project changed hands to Menta SA, then to Grupo Auna and finally to France Telecom. |

The bikinis of the Bora Bora brand reached the height of their popularity thanks to the TV presenter Paula Vázquez, who obtained high popularity ratings when she presented the programme “La Isla de los Famosos” (I’m a Celebrity, Get me Out of Here). This event was supported by the institutional participation of the pertinent minister, the president of an autonomous region, several mayors and the Spanish and international directorate of the company. In order to promote a brand of mineral water in the media, an imaginative proposal was designed: a competition of children’s drawings related to environmental issues which is sponsored by a celebrity. A public image campaign to respond to a banking crisis: Aresbank
Established in 1975 to promote cooperation between Spain and Arab countries with the Libyan Foreign Bank as the major shareholder, in November 2004 it was faced with an enquiry from the Bank of Spain. MCS set up a Crisis Cabinet and was responsible for press relations and institutional matters until the current owner of the Bank purchased all of the shares. |
